Johnny Smith is light years a better player than James bloody Brophy.

Injuries aside, will be a regular Championship player in good time. Who's to know, if Town actually develop him and he enjoys his time here (even in the bad times), Town may even be in a position to have him permanently.

It isn't working at potential yet because Town haven't had a fully settled side or more so, a system that appears to work. If the Ipswich game was Town's epiphany of some form of footballing identity then we may see Johnny Smith excel in this system.

I know you don't like much of what you have seen based purely on stats theakston but I think you wouldn't mind if he started to do well.

One thing we can all agree on, what is more farcical is the Taylor "Dad I need to somehow secure a regular shag" Curran situation. He's worse than BO-O on a gas session.

Bit left side, but anyone fancy Ajose back - playing off a target man?

No chance - he’s shown absolutely nothing that makes me think he could play in the Championship.

Ade? Getting on a bit now.

I suppose we could entice him down to Town with his "...fay-vour-rit. A pickled onion saand-wiiichh!"

 Cheesy

He found a gig in Northampton.

He's an odd one that has never really had the success anywhere but here - not sure he would fit into our style of play now

We don't have time to be nurturing other players though that is the problem. I said elsewhere he clearly has potentual and has showed that last season for Oldham but i can only judge him on this season and he has been poor

I have to be honest Tyler Smith reminds me of Ajose, lethal in the box, good energy but not much else.

Tyler Smith would be good if we could dominate the ball and had someone like Doughty to play through balls.

On what basis do you see a Championship player? When he first joined from the Oldham highlights made him look exciting, the reality has been completely different. There’s only so many times a player can smash the ball into the first man or a shot into row Z under no pressure before you start wondering whether he has the brain or technical ability to even play at this level. He’s not our player so it’s not our job to spend time nurturing him hoping he comes good, we are almost halfway through the season so need loanees that will have an impact. It sounds like one of him or Tyler Smith needs to leave to make way for another striker on loan and I’d put Tyler Smith marginally ahead in terms of what he’s offered to date.

If he got a move to a Championship club would that make him the first player to play in all 3 football league divisions in the same season?
I'm sure some players did it before the rule was put in place...

Sort of rumour. Robbie Gotts, who Wellens wanted to sign for us, has now signed for Salford.
