I literally cannot express how not heartbroken I am by this. Yes he had useful attributes and yes it is annoying to have to get in another player in these times. But, he was never that charismatic on or off the pitch and for every useful attribute he had, there was an equally irritating one. |

No great loss in my view. As indicated above and previously, has all the physical attributes but didn't show that he had any ability.

Woolery was the forward player i was least bothered about losing over the summer. Doesn't have the technical ability to play at a better level. Outside of Doyle who rightly went back to league 2 for a pay day, he is also the only one who had to drop a division (Isgrove not yet confimed anywhere though), which i think says it all.
We certainly miss some of the characteristics he brought to the team, and some still need to be replaced, but the individual player we will not miss.
No hard feelings, he did a good job in league two. All the best to him at Tranmere and for the future.

When Woolery first signed I thought we had our very own Jermaine Beckford with the pace he had, however it was not to be.
I still think he is the type of player that one day something could just click and he will go on to bigger things, but also likely to slowly slip into non-league.
Either way I liked him and he always went about things without too much fuss, I hope it works out for him.

Echo the above. Out of the players that signed elsewhere/left, I was gutted to lose Yates, Doyle and now Doughty.
Anderson, Woolery & Isgrove i'm not bothered about. I wish them well, but they won't be sorely missed and have already been replaced.

Chapman is feasible, I suppose. But we seem to have a lot of very young players atm and I’m sure Wellens wants a bit more experience.
The U21s, though, help pad out the squad as they don’t count against the limit (24).
Jordi Hiwula is still available and is apparently being more realistic re wage demands - or, at least, his agent is.

You arent alone. I liked the chap, he offers something different and last season he really did contribute. sometimes his previous reputation stuck and fans never forget. he offered way more than isgrove and stats showed that. he could have a fantastic game and then do 1 mistake and everything good is forgotten and hes a donkey again. good luck to him, he helped us win the title last season |
