They’re also signing Sarcevic who has turned down a new deal at Plymouth.
He won’t come cheap either.
Signed for them yesterday, time the EFL looked at Boltons finances, he turned down a new contract at L1 now Plymouth to sign a better one at Bolton in L2. Time the EFL got that salary/wage cap in place if there is going to actually be one rather than rumoured. Bolton are taking the piss, they should be banned from signing any player until all their creditors are paid in full, whereas they are signing players on large contracts and all their creditors get 10p in the pound. Mind you I guess its not worth the paper its printed on if Man City can challenge it and win despite breaking the rules. |

I think Plymouth can be happy that they got 3 years out of Sarcevic as, in my mind, the novelty of south Devon's geographical isolation (in terms of England) tends to get old pretty quickly for footballers.
Think we need to get over Bolton's transfer policy though. They're not Man City and, like all of L2, hold no major significance in the grand scheme of things so if what many assume about their finances is true then it will sting them eventually.
Otherwise, fair play on two strong signings.
I still think the biggest problem they'll face, in the short term, is the the fact that they will be the team that everyone will really want to beat.

A similar big problem will be all the bridges they have burnt in the local community, creditors not getting their cash has pissed off a lot of people. |
