Not going to lose any sleep over it, that’s for sure.

He's just said his goodbyes on twitter, so looks like he's off.

Just seen.

A shame but not the end of the world.

Not too disappointed tbh

Not much of a consistent performer and very injury prone

My main worry is how many are going to follow him out of the door?

Offered him a new contract. May have been a shit one. Maybe Wellens isn’t that bothered. Maybe we’ve got a replacement lined up. Main thing is, we can still operate as a club.

If what Wellens said is true about our budget being the same as last season, then you’d imagine the contracts offered would be similar to what they were on.
Therefore it isn’t going to take much for league 1 clubs to come in and improve on the terms we have offered.

Real shame to see him go, mainly because of what he could achieve rather than what we have lost. When he played, he was obviously a very good player, he just didn’t play a great deal.

Lets not forget that his attitude was so poor in preseason last year he didnt even go on the pre-season tour and was transfer listed.

Good player, but too inconsistent.

Expect Woolery to go next

Good technical footballer. Enjoyed watching him play even when going round in circles and not producing a great deal.
Might have developed further under RW but now we shall never know.

Wondered why we signed Palmer a few months back. Looks like Wellens was planning well in advance.

I’ll feel the same if Woolery goes. Likeable player, looks great at times but no end result. The midfield has to chip in more goals then they did last season - can’t leave it all to GP and AN Other.

Wellens wouldn’t have signed a 3 year deal if players were going to be released without his say so.

this time last year I'd have kept Woolery over Anderson. this season the other way round.

I think Woolery needs regular first team football. So wouldn't be surprised to see him gone.

it's perfectly possible they were offered lower value/length contracts. As said somewhere above I hope this isn't the start of a mass exodus.

But let's be honest, if you had to sacrifice KA and KW to get Grant you would wouldn't you. I would

Yeah, but you can offer a contract that’s likely to be turned down.

But, then again, why offer one in the first place - unless it’s for PR purposes.
