Based on no information whatsoever, I am pretty confident that we will sign Doyle permanently, but it won't be until the last day of the Window, and probably late enough so that he can't play the following day.
This,    agree 100%.

bradford have shown no indication that we could have him back

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors. Wellens says he wants an experienced man. Sooner better than later, but if he waits until the 31st to get the right man that's got to be preferable to getting the wrong one now.

AS long as we don't end up with a slabbber/Feruz!

There are a few of them but that Walker character with his obsessions for people to join his fb groups and his need for rumours wouldn't be far away

I think he has genuine issues. Aspergers would be my guess. With that in mindwould cut him some slack. Mind you, I think he threatended a few people so can see their point of view too

No point Bradford waiting til the last minute - gives them no time to get a replacement and spend any money they may get from us. I notice they have recalled another striker from loan.

From the Bradford end

‘Swindon planning to make a new bid for him with a bonus if they get promoted. Still ain't over yet.’

Hopefully, but I doubt anything will happen this week.

Bowyer would look a right twat if he sold him now, after backing Doyle to lead the line tonight.

Bradford waiting til the last minute

In that case its a big game of chicken to put the price up, and I hope we don't have our eggs in one basket.

It would be interesting to know what the initial offer was, if there was one.   Rumours were that Bradford wanted three figures +, price seems to be dropping,  Come on Power,  get your hand in your pocket,  you know it makes sense.

AS long as we don't end up with a slabbber/Feruz!

He has started every game for them, they haven't purchased another striker, their main striker is now banned and doyle will be the focus of their attack. That all points to no interest in getting rid.

As mentioned by Audrey, if they were going to get rid not having a replacement on the last day is risky and unforgivable from any set of fans.

We need to move on, imo we should have moved on 2 weeks ago, i know we have been trying for replacements but we need one for saturday and start planning for the rest of the season

My fear is that it goes to the wire and then we sign Elliot Benyon!

Best chance we've had of promotion for years,  why blow the chance ?, promotion alone would more than cover the cost, not to mention Doyle could well propel us straight through League 1, increase in gates etc.,    Oh, I forgot,  this is Swindon.

I read that earlier and couldn't help noticing this comment from Bowyer:

Quote
He added: “It just shows where you can take the club when given the time to build.

“You look at Richie Wellens at Swindon, (Matt) Taylor at Exeter, (David) Artell at Crewe, John McGreal, (Mark) Cooper at Forest Green. They have all had that time and it’s no surprise that success follows.

How long does he think Wellens has been here? It's only just over a year.
