I would probably put Bennett as more of a winger than a number 10 TBH.

Yes Bennett has filled in as that 2nd striker/free role a few times but more often than not he played his as a winger/inverted winger/free role.

I expect Wellens to get in a proper number 10 like Ajose or Doyle.
Not so far in his career he hasn't but players can play out of position.

I'm going to guess RW's idea of a 10 is not a second striker/poacher type player but more of an advanced playmaker in the Bennett, Keshi mold.

By all means tell me to fuck off- everyone on this forum has a right to not reveal their real name.
You are obviously a swindon fan- have you played for us? Still involved in the game or just a fan? Its nice to have an inside view on things and will be good to see you posting during the season.

Not involved in the game anymore - Injury curtailed career .....just a Swindon fan..

Born and Bred in Swindon , although never played for them unfortunatley...

Played National/Non League plus a couple of seasons in L2

Possibly, hopefully we will soon find out the make up of the team.

Its been an interesting close season so far, quite exciting TBH.

Once the Squad is complete I would think RW will look to start moving players out....

Curren , Iandolo , Romanski , Plus the  4 New Youth Players on Loan.....

Mcglashen out the door completley..........

You do know that you are going to get a load of questions until we can narrow down who you actually are Smiley

When did you last play?

This should probably be moved to another thread so as not to derail the rumours!

Add to the loan list Twine too, all 4 of those on 6 month loans to see how they are improving.

McGlashan needs to get off his arse and find a new club, L2 is beyond him based upon his perfomances for us and Wrexham last season, Wrexham said he wasn't good enough for a starting place.

Yeovil or Aldershot would be my guess.

McGlashan is a nothing footballer, I never rated him pre-Swindon and I certainly didn’t rate him at all for us.

Great to see some early business being done. We still need significant strengthing in the forward areas so Wellens’ comments about his remaining targets were music to my ears.

On the Blackpool forum apparently its between us and them to sign Doyle.

Location and division would give them the edge but Wellens has a good relationship with Doyle and Hunt is a close friend of his too which could even it up a bit.

Plus it’d be easier to up his profile scoring in L2 than L1.

Positive news we're competing with L1 clubs for players.

Has anyone seen Tooms on the STFC vids? Looking fit for the season to be honest.

Apparently delayed because of Mildenhall

Wellens said: “I’ve spoken to Shamal (George). Nothing is agreed yet, it’s been difficult because Steve Mildenhall likes his holidays!"

"Allegedly" previously linked Yeovil defender Tom James now looks likely to sign for Hibs for a small fee.

Not a massive loss as we have the full defence in place now.
