Just because I rate the player doesn’t make him decent though Let’s hope he doesn’t change his mind, I don’t think he will. Your last 2 posts contain the word ‘hope’. Mmmmm.

Duke, out of interest, why do you choose to frequent the Adver comments as opposed to this forum? On the rare occasions I choose to read them I regret it almost instantly.....
Now that is a difficult question......have to question my sanity. For every decent poster, five to wind you up. Love your choice of Avatar.

Hes been touted to Orient on loan, I wouldn't mind him back he just needs consistancy.

So looking at how we are shaping up, its not actually to bad. Now add those "Marquee" signings with some cover and I think we have a good squad for pre-season + the youngsters.
I still want to see Woolery up top with someone to play off.

Well Woolery and Anderson have essentially been playing as attacking midfielders in a lot of the games at the end of the season. Although I like them both they don't have many goals in them, that would be like playing with 6 midfielders.

One of those 2 will click at some point. My bet will be Woolery. Neither are out and out strikers though. There will be at least 2 more in.

Woolery has a great shot on him and is one of the quickest attacking players I have seen at Town since George Ndah. His dribbling and control at times look world beating but so often his cross or shot is awful, he obviously has it in him, his goals againsy Bury, Notts, Morecambe and FGR prove that.

Woolery & Anderson have it in them, somewhere, as we have seen flashes of it, just not consistent. Now, with a new team, playing a different way this clicking thingy could well happen. Though I have to agree that some fucking lump, with a bit of skill, pace and an onion bag sniffing detector capable of scoring 19 goals would be handy. Maybe two of them.

I always think it's a good idea to get your defence sorted first. Good quality attacking players are more expensive and tend to take longer to get over the line so I'm more than happy to show some patience. I'm sure they'll come. The good thing is we're active early in the window. Assuming Conroy signs, to be only full back cover away from a complete defence in mid June is pretty good going I'd say.
Yes. When I suggested Wellens might look to the back as a priority, many seemed to think I was talking bollocks.... not sure why as it seemed with the likely departure of Knoyle and or Conroy we looked a bit thin there. As you say front men are generally a more expensive commodity, so a bit of patience required. There must still be a doubt over Conroy signing...

Another solid signing in Baudry. Looks like a decent experienced CB with good pedigree.
1 year deal makes sense as well at his age. Hopefully he has a year trigger based on games played in case he does well. Only concern, as with Fyers is a lack of recent games.
Beginning to look like we are putting a decent side together. I am guessing the attacking players will come later in the window.
