Think I'd pass on him. Spent the whole season injured and wouldn't be cheap.

'If you can keep him fit' seems an increasingly unlikely scenario.

They've cited The Chronicle as their source but I thought that was a North East local, unless it's a different one.

36? Fuck that. Only need to look at Richards and Taylor to see what happens to good players once injuries and old legs take their toll.

Not sure his game was based on the speed of his runs in behind the defence either.

Unless it's chasing down a ball in behind against a sweeper with a dodgy hamstring in the first few minutes of a play off final.

Didn't Wellens say he wanted players 22/3 to 29 years with at least 100 league games played. Can't see he wants another Richards and Taylor situation with players on their last legs.

Beckford now on Carlisle’s radar, apparently. Their recruitment for the coming season is to rely on loan players for their forward positions.

Reg would have a fit!

So Carlisle are copying our recruitment plan then. Well almost, we have several other positions in the team to fill with loans.

I think almost every club uses the loan system to the maximum. We’re no different.
