Guess it all goes down to whether he wants to play L1 and whether he wants to live in the north.

He might not have many options available to him. His stock is probably not that high at the moment considering it didn't seem to work out at Tranmere for him.

Tranmere’s working out very well, isn’t it?

He only played 5 games

*Edit. I see now he's been playing recently. I've not really been following it.

Think he’s been injured. He’s started the two play-off games. If he hadn’t played in those then I’d be more more confident.

I would be glad to see him back here.

We know what Sid offers and Wellens has said he wants to try and sign him. Now he has been released we have a more than fair chance of us getting him. I hope so personally. If Conroy signs his contract and Nelson joins we have 3 good Centre Backs signed up for next season (Conroy, Nelson, Broadbent)

location and Tranmere's play off outcome may have something to say.  If they go up and want him, we probably lose out.  If they go up and want better, we have a chance, if they stay down we have a chance - going there for a loan period may be ok, using a hotel, but long term we might win on location.

Based on very little, I don't think Conroy will stick around.

I'd happily see Sid return although it's hard to shake-off that cliched belief of teams need an experienced/older head at CB.

As long as they work well with each other, I'm good!

I have a feeling Conroy is going to Peterborough. They claim to have 7 signed already but just haven’t announced them. Annoyingly it would be a good fit with how they play football. Fergie was at our game against Newport so will have seen him there

Presumably, as both Conroy and Knoyle are under 24 and have been offered new contracts, we’ll be due a fee if they move on
