Douglas...no thanks, I heard he is off to either Chesterfield or Mansfield from an Ipswich supporting mate last week.

Ince, yes please but again hes training with Shitty so I doubt he would come to this level, probably end up at Northampton or Rovers in L1.

Rodgers...no thank you, hes training with Bury at the moment so hopefully they will see enough in him to offer him a contract and then regret it.

Gladwin won't be back for another go, Blackburn spent £300k on him only a month or so ago and he blows boiling hot 10% and freezing cold 90% and is not consistant enough for us.

If the rumours are true and it is indeed an ex player who is a midfielder then its more likely to be Michael Timlin, Gary Roberts or Johnnie Jackson IMO.

Why do fans always want ex players back? Most don't do a lot once they have left us.

I was told that last week, but on the day he was supposed to be there Brighton released a team pic of him training at the Amex, so I think that was bollocks.

Can't understand why he hasn't been snapped up.

Generally because they've seen first hand how good they are / can be. Not really rocket science.

Gladwin was no where near fit for us last season and was pretty useless but a fit gladwin is a good player but I do think with him it went to his head a bit when he went to QPR and his period with us I got the feeling he felt he was too good for us.
With Thomas going to India and Rodgers without a club and other players going abroad that no one else wanted from us just shows how crap our side was last season.
He didn't want to leave in the first place. He was gutted he had to leave the club

This.

Although I personally prefer to see brand new signings, more of an anticipation factor, I will gladly welcome back any ex players that gave it all for us though and those are pretty rare. Louis Thompson is one of that rare bunch.

I hope it's Stefani Miglioranzi....!

If not him, I was a fan of Tounami Diagouraga, who has played the majority of his career at Championship level, has only just turned 30 and from what I read on the ever reliable internet - has been told he has no future at Leeds.

Indeed. How many would want Rodgers or Harley back? People want certain players back because they're decent, not because they're ex-players. Silly Sippo!

My point exactly. Most left for a reason. Mostly because they weren't good enough.

I think you'll find that people don't want to see a return of the ones that weren't good enough.

On thisis someone has stated that the club are in negotiations with a previous midfielder. Unsure who he is or if the comment of "if the money is right" is wages or a fee involved. Can anyone shed any light on it?

Think I'd consider Chang to be more reliable than a thisis BTL respondent.

Some have mentioned Gary Roberts...
