I will be pissed at Thompson if he goes. Fed up of players wearing the captains armband, getting us relegated then fucking off. Would really take the piss out of the 'one of our own' thing too

Ok. If true, can you blame him? I did not know you beat me to it. This comes from someone who knows him BTW.

Really cant get worked up about Thompson leaving.I may be wrong but the games he has cost us seem to outweigh the games he's inspired us.Realise thats not the general opinion but its mine

I'm inclined to agree.

Not been the same since his injury against Sheffield United and the daftness of playing the first few minutes at Wembley.

His commitment and desire has been great but I think we've reached the end and I don't don't think survival would have made any difference.

wasn't claiming credit, just pointing out I wasn't disbelieving.

Do I blame him, no not at all.

He's 26, at his childhood club, he's seen the team relagated and in decline in terms of quality. He needs to move on and give it a shot elsewhere, as he's not going anywhere with us. Good luck to him.

Did he ever get offered a new deal?

Good luck to him. Not much he can do with the shite he had around him this season. The one player that will always have my respect.

Good luck to him wherever he goes.
One of the most overrated STFC players ever imo.

The last I heard was that he had not been offered a contract.  Must agree,  think he's done his time here and needs a new challenge,  certainly not the player he was IMO.

Ollie Watkins

Current club: Dagenham and Redbridge

Former clubs: North Greenford United, Hillingdon Borough, Northwood, Hemel Hempstead, Harrow Borough

Hawkins, 24, has already had a reasonable impressive rise through the non-league ranks and is now challenging for promotion into the Football League with Dagenham and Redbridge.

He has 16 league goals to his name this season but might not get much of a chance to add to his National League tally - he’s wanted by a host of clubs. Swindon have considered stumping up the £250,000 asking price should the Daggers fail to gain promotion back the EFL.

Ollie Hawkins, not Watkins.

Can see he's worth the Hylton type punt, though he's 25 so not exactly uprooting trees. But you would hope we can do better than that in addition.
