The fact both he and Evans have played their recent friendly matches does give it a bit more substance don't you think ?
Not really, it just gives more cause for rumour.

It'd be a pretty fucking weird/stupid move but it's not exactly comparable to the decision to sell Ritchie.

We'd all like to see him given a chance but he's still unproven and unlikely to improve us anywhere near enough.

Sorry, I meant first game in div 4. That orient game was a cracker.

Home to Burslem PV. Sunshine on the Bank, Paul Rideout nodded one in for a 1-0. Season started 28th August, this year a whole 3 weeks earlier, I'd cycled from the west coast of Ireland to make it, so worth it  Smiley

Source?

Possibly this:

"Waterford set to sign Tom Smith from Swindon." @LoI Transfers

Have no idea how reliable that account is.

Doesn't sit right with me at all mate. Getting rid of our own youngsters to a league 2 irish team that our owner owns is bollocks. I am not sure how it just gives more cause for rumour as i can't think of any other reason he would be playing there. As for unlikely to improve us much i think that is harsh, he has looked very good when being used.

I see Waterford to buy Tom Smith according to a tweet.
Whether any substance in that  Hmmm

The Waterford chappy (on FB) says it almost certainly loan. Their season runs until October, but no idea what the o'loan system is like over there. 3 mother?

Loan makes sense, absolute knob-jockeys idiots for not having him around the first team when the likes of Rodgers (seemingly surplus),  Kasim (needs a fresh start) and Thomas (needs not to be a midfielder) are on the bench demonstrably offering nothing at all at the minute.

But if he isn't playing for us, he's better off playing somewhere. Even if it is at a crap level

The cynic in me thinks Smith has been stitched up to the benefit of Waterford. No conflict of interest indeed.

I'm not saying it's a good idea. It's not.

I just don't see why fans are up in arms over a couple of unreliable sources that may very well just be doing a Chang.

Batch is also right - if he isn't getting games for us, it's better that he gets games somewhere and comes back a better player for it.

They are not. They are saying they will be up in arms if it happens.

Swindon agreed? Lee Power accepted his own offer? This is all a bit ugly isn't it.

Tim Sherwood to Blackburn ?

The first time in our history a manager* being poached by a bigger club actually improves our prospects?

fwiw selling him makes no sense to me, it probably is bollocks Smiley
