Norris must be getting close to edging Obika out regardless of injury?

Glad people are coming round to Norris - think he's a great foil for a goal-getter like Ajose, which is what we're missing. Maybe Islam is the answer.

You know you have pretty much just wrote the Advers first headline when Ferus scores.

Islam converts.

I've liked what I've seen of Norris last few games, his hold up play has contributed to most of our opportunities.

Yeah, pretty Obika-like in his work rate and hold up play. Let's not forget that Obika has never been prolific.

Jeez, are there some shafts of light ahead?

Yeah, we're definitely still missing that poacher. James Vaughan scored more times in 20 minutes on Saturday than any of our players have scored in the league all season!! Astonishing stat!!

Don't get carried away....if you watch the highlights on player, you can see all the old faults are still there...ie losing the ball in dangerous midfield areas, so exposing defenders to poor decision making. On another day, we could have gone for a few.

I don't think we've suddenly become a good team.....however it is something to build on.  Saturday will give us a good idea.

As for Norris, yes he deserves some credit, he's obviously trying which is the least that can be expected, but he is coming from a very low level, so improvement is relative.

That could be any team at any level, look at Man City on Sunday (4th goal).
We've been missing a striker who can take the pressure of the defenders and definitely haven't had our fair share of lady luck. If she starts helping us out, then we are on our way.

We've conceded the 3rd most goals on the road in Div 3, that isn't all down to luck....for example 3 at Franchise in the previous road trip, who were then second lowest scorers at home with 11 from 12 games.

Whoever picks the team, presumably will have a decision to make when Nathan is fit....Dabo looks to me like a right wing back. Personally I'd stick with a variation of 4-4-2

Unless Dabo is happy there, a competent LB is the most important addition now. Hopefully Saturday reminded some of our fans how valuable a fit Kasim is too.

Having both BOO and Brophy, who can do a job as a LWB, I think it unlikely we'll get a proper LB.  Dabo is a replacement for Furlong, and then Barry can cover.

Ih he can do a job there then leave him and get Thompson in at right back. It's the constant changing of defenders that is fucking us over.
