I can see Delfouenso leaving this month, seems way down the pecking order even behind Hylton. Obika rarely available.

I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest there could be more change in that area before the end of the window.

Why would sign ajose when we have just got a striker on loan....
Good point, really tough one that....lets have a think:

Because he's better than what we've got?
Because he scored 20+ goals at League 1 level last season?
Because our current forwards have scored about 10 goals between them in around five months of football?
Because the striker we have just signed on loan hasn't scored a goal at senior level?

1) We can't fit him in the team unless one of the Chelsea lads don't play (if we loan)
2) Why would he come back here 6 months after saying Charlton were a bigger club
3) Why would we want someone back who within months of signing for us was telling the media he wanted to play at a higher level with other clubs
4) Charlton are unlikely to want to sell to a L1 club especially in the last 6 months of the season

I can't believe he would come back, he would be admitting he got it wrong and should have stayed here, he knows he had it good here and tried to jump on the next gravy train as he thinks he is better than L1 but one day his big head will come back down to earth.

Or Power wanted to cash in, too.

Power has stated many times he won't sell unless a player wanted to go and Ajose was always banging on about playing at a higher level, we were his stepping stone which hasn't worked and he is falling flat on his face.

If it was just about cashing in, Kasim would have gone a long time ago but we supposedly keep turning down offers for him, there may have been a bit of cashing in but also could have been in his contract that he was to be sold if someone offered over X amount.

I don't think it's happening, but 1) then drop the Chelsea lad, 3) er, to score goals.

I couldn't give a shit if ajose saw us as a stepping stone and would happily have him do that again if it meant he scores 20odd goals again.

We're always a stepping stone. Even most premier league clubs are a stepping stone. People that don't get that are naive to the point that they're not worth debating with.

The only two clubs in the world that can confidently hold on the their best players are Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez, Henry... have all left the biggest clubs in England, people seem to forget every team sells players.

On a conscious level I doubt any one could argue that fact. This is the TEF, however, they sell for improvement mainly. We sell for survival mainly. Very different don't you think?

The same could be said for Gladwin - he's been back twice!

And Ajose is definitely leaving Charlton!

I suspect a lot of the sales of our better players are down to clauses in contracts - sweeteners to get them to sign for us in the first place, eg 'Hi Nicky, leave Leeds, come to us, and we promise that if an offer of at least £x comes in, we'll let you consider a move away.' I doubt if any of the players brought in from 'lesser' clubs would be offered the same, hence why Kasim is still here.
