He didn't....

We did have some record that season however...I'd take a back line of Caddis-McCormack-Flint-McEveley right now which is how we finished that season.

The back 4 of Thomas - Burrows - Harland - Trollope  would be the finest in our history from a defensive unit point of view.

That has nothing on the back three of Heywood, Reeves and Viveash that Kingy once fielded.

Played in the Woking side that knocked a few league teams out the fa cup and beat West Brom at the hawthorns 4-2.
Missed out three seasons on the trot getting promoted to the league mainly because of our cup runs as it was only one team then went up from the conference and no play off games. We only missed out on goal difference.
Used to get good crowds as well for a conference side around 5k for home games.
Good days played with a few ex pros who were finishing their careers and a mix of good young players as well.

I was at Saltergate that fateful day. However Kingy had enough nous not to repeat, and ended up in the PO's.

Its like a game of Guess who.... the below is from the anniversary bit in the local rag regarding the West Brom game... Grin

Where are they now?
1 Tim Read
Goalkeeper: Cards' youngest player at The Hawthorns, aged 19. Now lives in London and has retired from football.
2 Stewart Mitchell
Wing-back: Last known to have moved north.
3 Adie Cowler
Sweeper: Hung up his boots in 1995 after spells at Kingstonian and Walton. Golf is now his passion.
4 Bradley Pratt
Centre-Half: Played a handful of games for Bracknell Town last season.
5 Trevor Baron
Centre-Half: Now assistant manager at Windsor & Eton. Had spells at Marlow, Slough, Woking (again briefly) and Walton & Hersham before ruptured Achilles tendon ended his playing days.
6 Shane Wye
Midfield: The only survivor from the Cup side still pulling on a Cards shirt.
7 Dereck Brown
Midfield: Currently turning out for Ryman Premier outfit Chesham United.
8 Mark Biggins
Midfield: Still showing off his silky skills with Combined Counties League Bedfont.
9 Mark Franks
Forward: Enjoyed an FA Cup adventure with Bracknell Town this season.
10 Tim Buzaglo
Forward: The hat-trick hero is joint manager of Guildford City Weysiders' A team.
11 Lloyd Wye
Wing-back: Now with Ryman Division Two club Molesey.
Substitutes
12 Terry Worsfold
Forward: Banging them in for Guildford Railway Old Boys in the Surrey Intermediate League.
14 Andy Russell
Defender: Injury means he now only plays Sunday football for Crowthorne in Berkshire.
