He did score 2 in said trial as well as playing the full 90 so couldn't have been that unfit or rusty.

He must have been seriously unfit.
Does make you wonder just how badly some of these out of contract players want a deal when they arrive in such poor shape. You can't do anything about being a bit rusty but getting yourself fit and ready for a trial surely isn't difficult?
I don't think his fitness was the issue personally. If he scored twice & he is as unfit as they he says he is then surely he must have real potential/ability. I'm more inclined to believe they couldn't agree terms with him as LW also alluded to in an interview. |

Yes. Owned by Barr the Irn Bru lot. When I was a kid in the 50's, my old man would dispatch me off down to the corner shop to get a bottle of Tizer, and The Pink as a treat on a Saturday night, after the match. Used to come in bottle with one of those ceramic and wire lids, like a Grolsch top. Washed the lardy down a treat....you could recycle the bottle back to the shop and get 1d for it. |

I didn't think we'd be signing Tom Hitchcock after the move to 4-2-3-1 - he seems to the kind of striker best suited to playing in a front two.

Where did that come from? Wiki: Left back, can play centre back and mid. aged 22, 8 league appearances (5 Notts C, 3 Shrews), Currently unattached, joined county on a 2 year deal in June 2015, released in Aug 2016. Sounds about the right MO. We need el-abd type experience IMO but that option won't really open until January |
