He is a bit like Delfouneso, a footballer whose career has hit the skids a little bit.

I still reckon Del boy can offer us something, but needs balls in behind which is not really our style. Not too sure what kind of footballer Hitchcock is but he was excellent at Rotherham I believe.

I think it just shows where Power is getting his tips from on players, I thought the irish guy we have (who's name I cant remember, used to be the video analyst at Spurs for Sherwood) doubled up as a scout and done other work at stfc

But it seems Powers contact book is shrinking - I was surprised we didn't get anyone from Celtic though

Power is shrinking too.  I'd imagine times are hard for ex-pats with the £ nosediving.

Think the reason Anton is now relegated to the Development squad, whatever that means, is because Brendan has failed to produce any players.  He's also seen us play plenty and probably realises it could finish any talent playing for us.

Yea because Kevin Stewart and Brad Snith are great examples of why he shouldn't send any aren't they

 Hmmm Er....yes.

Incidentally both Smith and Stewart ended their brief unsuccessful Town stays at Rodney Parade in the Skoda Hubcap....a bit too much for the poor darlings.

I would say Smith's stint was successful, didn't lose a league match he played in.

People will point to his crossing - during his last league match he got two assists I believe.

He would have been first choice for the season if he wasn't recalled.

Better than anything we've currently got, but was  considered the weak link in that side. Obviously didn't fancy being here.

I'd say someone like a Jordan Turnbull was successful.....we should have been able to sign him if Coventry could, but Power was put off by the prospect of a big sell on apparently. Shame I'd have rather have had him because he might have improved us.

At least he was generally fit and available for 2 seasons, helpful for a squad that now has 0 centre halves.
