Conor Thomas could go back to Coventry if he doesn't find a club this summer.

Shame I was hoping for a Germanic brick shithouse stopper....too much to expect, thinking about it.

He is Paraguayan, in terms of a nation of brick shithouse stoppers, they are pretty close. Also left-footed. Think I'm right that JSW and Branco are both right-footed and always both play on the right...

You're mixing up your Paraguay with Uruguay.  Now a Diego Godin or a Jose Maria Gimenez would do very nicely. However the banana boat has been missed, Brexit is very much about a return to Nigel Gray/Andy Rollings lower league stoppers...away with foreign journeymen, however exotic sounding.

I mean Alberto Comazzi, sounded like he should be a Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini clone in a back 3, and ended up suing us.  No wonder the average Town Ender, physical not cyber, voted out.

So it's not "Hoof" then, it's "Hoot"!  Although either would no doubt be appropriate in our back four.  Cheesy

I'm not. Paraguay have produced some pretty rough sides too at a number of World Cups. They are physically smaller than Uruguay though as they didn't have the European immigration of the River Plate.

There was a fair bit of European immigration there in 1945/46..

General Stroessner, whose military dictatorship ruled Paraguay for 35 years from 1954 was of good Bavarian stock. I wonder where he got his ideas from?  Hmmm

Those videos are proof that you can't polish a turd. Such a slow pace of play and he still gets caught out of position... At least he's used to defending 1v1. Perhaps he'll be amazing in training. Perhaps.

I saw Nanetti play for Dover against Bristol Rovers a couple of seasons back. Certainly don't recall any of their players being anything special (and he's dropped down since then).

Huth can be our next wild card overseas player who shows early promise and then drifts in to mediocrity. A proud Swindon tradition.

Lots of Iraqi-based noise linking Kasim to Watford... Can't see that coming off at all, but you never know I guess.

If he doesn't get his move now he'll be the incredible sulk again.

Spose he deserves it.

I know QPR are also looking at him, Watford would be a good move not sure if he will start many games there though if he did. Gotta be worth £300k+ for pretty much any current international player.

300k would be pittance. They'd make that back in a day of shirt sales and shipping to Baghdad.

In light of the recent Premier League mega deal, only Swindon Town could sell a senior player to that league for a lowly sum £300,000.
