Vigs has the potential to be better than Wes in my opinion. Has those extra couple of inches in terms of height and has the perfect physique for a modern keeper. With the right coaching could play well above league 1 as there are still very few decent keepers around.

what I mean is, if we really pay 400k for vigs - which I doubt - 400k left to replace ajose less wherever power doesn't reinvest is a bit disappointing as a fan.
I understand the disappointment to a degree, but we got Ajose without paying a fee and a replacement could be a freebie too.

If £400,000 could guarantee bringing in say Bradshaw or Jack Stephens, I think most fans would feel more positive than spending it on Vigs. We'd still need a 'keeper though. Ifs, buts, maybes, available, not available etc.

Still, if the deals go through, we've now got a decent first-choice keeper. We all knew Ajose would be going and there is plenty of time to get a replacement for him. However, we've also got the Obika and Smith situations to play out too, so the striker/s merry-go-round could take some time to conclude.

As I said yesterday it depends what the £400k covers and how the deal is structured. If its up to £400k if he plays for Chile or wins the goalkeeper of the year well that's different, equally it could be we see him as a great prospect and have paid a little over the odds to get him without there being a sell on clause meaning we keep more if we polish him and sell on!

We will no doubt never know, although as Power has shown himself time and time again to be very good at driving a deal I would hope the deal is to our benefit. Plus considering the constant moaning that he won't spend money, the moaning when he does just furthers the conclusion that he cannot win in the eyes of many supporters.

Typical Power letting him slip through the net, we don't even pay as much as Gillingham etc etc....

I agree. There are bound to be complexities and unknowns with these fees and deals. And there will always be one-eyed fans who will interpret what is reported for their own ends.

It'll be interesting to see where El Abd ends up. Gillingham, or this summer's Hoover club, Charlton?

It's not like replacing a player where there are literally hundreds to choose from. Very small pool of available GK coaches.

What's Fraser up to now the training ground's sorted?

Runs his own pub / restaurant think the training ground was a favor wouldn't have time to be involved in GK coaching

If they sign him aswell then 12/1 on them winning the league is worth a punt

Money wasted. They are a basket case with no bottom to the basket. Don't care how much money they spunk, they will struggle imo.

I think they will go up as champions TBH, I think Bolton could slip through the league downward like Blackpool and Pompey did before them.

A Gooner mate reckons someone called Chucks Aneke (spelling?) may be heading to the CG.

Didn't say he was at Arsenal. Plays in Belgium apparently.
