When will they ever learn...signing players from non league never ever works  Doh

I'm sure you're being tongue in cheek, but it is approaching the time of year where we'll be having to list all the players from non-league that did make it in response to the claim that non-league players never make it.

Just like it is every....single....year.

Has that Geordie Lad gone for over a million yet?  Crazy not to have signed him.

Goddard scores a lot of goals from midfield. Former Reading Academy.

I know we have sent scouts to watch Ashley Nadesan from Horley Town who has scored 92 goals in two seasons.

But so have Crawley, Millwall, Brighton, Cambridge and Norwich among several others I am sure.

Goddard is a pretty decent player, I've seen him a couple of times. Not afraid to have a go and quick feet, I wouldn't be disappointed with that.

I would, with the money Power has trousered we should at least be in for Vardy.

Vardy is practically a pensioner compared to our squad!

Goddard would be 23 by the time we would be able to sign him. A veteran of the game!

A Woking fan's view

Don't know whether there are any Swindon fans on here but you're interested in Woking's John Goddard, according to The Non-League Paper. He's scored 18 goals in all competitions, 15 in the league, from left-midfield. Easily our best and most consistent player in a season that has been very up and down. Not a wide player who is all about pace, but he's got really feet which he's developed over the past two years in using to beat his marker. Good enough for League One? Not sure, but he'd be well worth a go. You'd only have to pay compensation'

Good to know he's got real feet!

I seem to recall a post about Anthony MacNamee only having one leg... Some lass at a teffer's work place thought he did.  I may have made the whole thing up.

Not sure about one leg or no feet, but Colin Baillie used to run like Douglas Bader, and at about the same speed.
