So then.

An 'experienced' CB, from the league above, that the fans will be pleased with. Hopefully in before Saturday.

Who do we think?

I fear it could be Adam El-Abd.

Would tick a lot of boxes....currently out of favour, experienced, Brighton connection.

Doubt he would have said the fans would be pleased if it was El-Abd!!

It was only the Shitheads, who reckon he's crap....and they aren't the brightest.

Helped get Bury up last season. When he was at Brighton seemed the typical lower league stopper, which is the sort of thing we need.

We apparently were looking at buying or loaning him in the summer as they wanted to offload him.....so it could well be him.

Clint Hill maybe? Has supposedly fallen out with the management at QPR. Not being played despite still being club captain. Power obviously has his connections there, with Ferdinand DOF.

Experienced and a leader, so would fit the billing perfectly.

After El-Abd was mentioned I had a quick look at the defenders currently at Championship clubs to see who was out of favour & would fit the bill. There weren't many who stood out 2bh. Didn't realise things weren't working put for Hill at QPR. Would be a terrific signing if it was him & he's captain material but very unlikely imho.

Clint Hill is 37 this month, perhaps not that surprising if he can't get in to a Championship side at the moment.
