With the squad we have we should definitely push for autos. Wes Thomas is going back to Birmingham in Jan though. No doubt he's just cover while Hylton and Obika are out injured. We'll see what happens with him in Jan though, we might get him perm if we're doing well.

Is he though? Something will change if pinky is coming in, someone possibly going from loan to perm. All good points NMH makes. There's always something bites us in the butt.

There is! But being positive about the squad is all that's keeping me going at the moment Wink

Why not at least wait until your pessimistic view of the future becomes reality.

Fucks sake, most fans have little reason to be wildly optimistic so embrace that warm, fuzzy feeling

Oh! You were being serious?

I thought I was being realistic rather than pessimistic.

It's funny, because a lot of people were all doom and gloom before the transfer window. Moaning we hadn't signed anyone and that we were going to be relegated. Now we are going to win the league.

I think this squad tops Sheff Utd's and they were many people's runaway winners.

I don't know about Sheff U much, but I am cautious because I still think we are fragile at the back - partly due to the system/style we play.

Time will tell, obviously

With this group of players, we'll win more than we lose and we'll score more than we concede. Will we get over the line ahead of two from Millwall, Wigan and Sheff Utd? Unlikely, but you never know.

Damn you and your moderation. Don't you know by now the TEF deals only in extremes?

At the time, that was true. When the window closed we hadn't officially signed enough reinforcements (or at least not announced that we had).

So from that point of view there was a legitimate reason to be a bit upset with Mr. Power. Most chairmen don't wait until the day after or so to announce their deadline day signings.

But we were never going to get relegated. A lot of people lack a lot of patience and trust.

Kind of what I was thinking. Audrey's practically bi-polar. From memory his world was collapsing a few weeks back.
