Power said today he's been the number one target for some time so I'd be surprised if we make no effort to keep him. Whether it we can afford him is another matter but he's out of contract in the summer.
Might depend on whether Barnsley take up the offer to sign Smith permanently. |

I think Kent would be a waste of a loan and we'd be better off using it for a centre-half.
Kent might be good, also might be shite, but I like our options (which we have lots of). I'm sure we could make room for him, but it'd be sure to fuck someone off with the number of competing players we have in that position.

Presumably, but it could be that what you read is correct and the Beeb report is wrong. Ideally, Smith does well enough at Barnsley for them to give us a load of cash, which we could then use to sign permanently the phenomenon that is / will be Wes Thomas (even though he is an old git). |

No you're right i misinterpreted it, that could really backfire. However Johnson states we didn't employ Smith to his full potential so if he doesn't buy him then he is no better. As for Thomas he along with Ajose will score at Crewe on their debuts |
