Saw this on Twitter from the Villa Talk forum

"The luongo sp? Deal is done apparently, no shock there but apparently is 4million with 4 players going on loan the other way, 2 others possible perm. Robinson,Hepburn Murphy and donacien three of the loans, Kevin turner one of the permanents.might not at be announced as one deal but that's how its working apparently. I've been told that so will wait and see if it comes true. Apparently it does just need to be announced"

I heard previously from elsewhere that it was a £2m up front with other players and loans taking the potential value up to £4m.

This was done mostly to avoiding giving Spuds 50% sell on fee, so they onyl get the sell on from £2m and not £4m, that was we only give them up to £1m rather than £2m and we gain several new players.

Reckon thats rubbish, for one we dont know what league we'll be in yet, so wouldnt know if they were champ or L1 standard.

Don't think you can get away with that, don't they have to put a realistic value on the entire deal for the sell on fee?

That is a valid point. However, let's say that those players are more than good enough for the championship and dynamite in  league 1. Their current wages add up to say, a total of £20k per week. If we stay down we pay nothing towards their wages, if we go up we contribute 50%. The players have been told, go to STFC, learn, enjoy, develope as we have have first refusal on you and you can get back into the groove or peruse your career with STFC or elsewhere. In short there are a number of ways to skin a cat to make a deal work and fit the need.

Power has previously stated that he has secured a higher calibre of loanee should Town go up. Mind you, he did say that before Sherwood arrived at Aston Villa.

Not really a rumour but just noticed sam Saunders playing for Wycombe tonight. He was fucking mint against swindon in the league and playoffs when Brentford went up. Suprised although on loan he has dropped so far down so quick

Oh no, I hope the rumour of a move to a club like Preston doesn't turn his head and distract him.
