If the Norwich deal hasn't gone through, where do we get the £220k from?

Sign another striker on loan and I'm very happy with how the squad is shaping up.

Result! The biggest disappointment is Saints decided to make Stephens deal only until end of January.

Clearly we'll buy him then.

Would of course love Louis Thompson to stay for several years and be the backbone of out Premier league charge. But sadly we have to live in the real world of debt, and not standing in the way of player career progression (if he's gone).

From Moosehead:

@SamMorshead_: Re: Louis Thompson. Swindon Town press office still waiting on news. I haven't been able to get hold of his representative for several hours

Decent day's work id say! If we can get one more in on loan, I think we have an excellent side. We needed a striker and a cb, we have both. Well done Power/Cooper

I think most of us would have more than settled for this at the start of the day.

Sad to see Louis go, but at least we have him until the end of the season (provided that deal is done?) and we didnt get shafted with a shitty wet fart of a price for him, either.

Fair play to Power and Cooper.

@SamMorshead_: Norwich City confirm Louis Thompson transfer, sadly tweeting a picture of @NathanByrne_ in the process.

Huge shame to see Louis go, but that's the way we work as a club unfortunately, and it's good money if rumours are correct. As is, we've got him for the rest of the season and will just have to make the most of the Thompson chant to 'no limit' while we can.

Obika will be an interesting one, but Stephens is obviously the big score for us after last season. Cracking deadline day signings. Further to the thread on Cooper, I think it either needs adding to or a new one starting depending on who you want ot think is in charge of transfers- good business all round.
