I like Nathan Thompson, good right back. Didn't seem to kick on last season after the previous season though. Also in this new set up we are playing he doesn't really fit as he's not good enough with the ball to be the wing back, and perhaps isn't big or strong enough to play as one of the three. Don't want to see Swindon lads move on, but for a feee that enables us to do some other transfer business i'd rather we lost him than Louis or Mass.

Would be a real shame to lose him. I harboured hopes we'd see the two of them here for years and years, becoming club favourites whilst the revolving door of loanees and freebies happens aeound them. If he does go, I hope he does better than Peterborough.

Thompson struggled playing wing back, rather than full back, last season. We'll miss him if he goes though, it's a big step up for Barthram

Saints have money to burn, they will bring in a few players including at least one CB and Stephens will slip down the pecking order.

Potentially. They also sold another defender to Arsenal yesterday for 16 million, at this rate Stephens is going to captain the side!!

I hope that Power and co haven't put all their eggs in one basket with getting Stephens for the season, at the moment I don't think it will happen.

Peterborough chairman just tweeted that Thompson rumour is total rubbish and that they have already signed a right back.

Not a mention of this on any Posh related sites.

If it did go ahead my preference would be a straight swap for Tyrone Barnett

...but it's just a typical SkySports rehashed article, so there's nothing to worry about.

The phrase "make do and mend" keeps coming to mind this summer.

According to Morsehead, Cooper is an admirer and has been after Turnbull all summer.  He's from Trowbridge, so it's all ok.
