For once DMR, I'm in total agreement !
Seeing as we won't have any England International footy on the Beeb soon, and he's not intellectually capable of dealing with anything (sorry, anyfink) else, it's a typically empty gesture anyway.

Ian wright is the drooling retard of football punditry. His basic analysis of England games consisted of either wanking over his sons performance or telling the nation why his son should be playing in the most inarticulate way imaginable. Innit bruv
He's a cock.

ian wright is correct, football coverage needs a shake-up.
ditch the analysis and punditry on match of the day. the presenter is normally that ugly brummie who adds nothing. the pundits, excepting hansen, are piss poor. i don't need football explaining to me when i've just seen the match, so don't bother to try and analyse it.
at the moment the only thing i get out of pundits is a few laughs at their errors/personal quirks/lawrenson "moments".

Yes, he is right in that respect, but as stated above he was part of the problem in the 1st place. It does my head in when pundits / ex players just describe what I've just watched but in slo-mo then pretend the've been insightful The reason Andy Gray gets more respect than most is that at times he will give a genuine insight into the game from the mind of an ex pro. He'll explain why a player has done something and looks at things a lot deeper than most of the BBC lot - oh he'll be disappointed with that. I fast forward through the pundity on MOTD And ITV are just a joke. Pundits either need to tell me something I might not know, or just not bother at all like you say.

I like Wrighty and i enjoy the pointlessness of his punditry.
Only had Sky a few months, but thought i'd mention it while Colin Todd bought it up, but i find Andy Gray gets on my tits like no other.

ian wright is correct, football coverage needs a shake-up. He may well be, but five minutes of listening to the drivel he and whatsisface come up with on talkSport is enough to convince anyone who knows what the term lobotomy means though education rather than personal experience that he has no idea how to provide it. And is in no real place to be criticising the punditry of others.

errrr ... what are Hanson/Lawro/Lineker doing if they're not giving "genuine insight ... from the mind of an ex pro"? What a bizarre contradictory comment.
