by what criteria do you define whether something is or is not fact when it is not something which can be measured and therefore quantified in scientific terms?

And It was this one yeah?

Also if J[lotsofinitials]82 was really born in 82, doesn't that make him 25/26? Not that there's anything wrong with knowing all these 16/17 year old lads.

i had fish pie for dinner.

It always strkes me pie is a bit of a misnomer, for when you  lob mash on top of something like mince or fish in a white sauce and call it pie.  For me a pie should have pastry.

This is, of course, just my opinion.

It shouldn't be an opinon though Reg.

It's a bit like those meals purporting to be pies, whereby it is just some filling in a pie dish with some puff pastry as the lid.

Or "Soup with a roof", as I like to call it, which usually confuses the bar staff when ordering.

I'd like to refine Reg's definition by adding (after pastry), on the sides, bottom and top

Exactly, you'd have thought the EU would have established a definition of what is a pie.

Afterall they have granted special status to the Melton Mowbray pork pie.

Aaaaaaaaaaanyway, back to the players saying things and them being fact.... I was told by a Chelseas player who I sat next to on the plane back from Austria a few years ago, that Steven Gerrard was definitely signing for Chelsea and that it was a done deal.

See, players dont know what the fuck they are talking about

Next season the only ones I would keep are

Brez
Ifil
Phil Smith
Comminges
Kanyuke
easton
peacock
McNamee
Cox
Painter

Add the those players the same quality or better we will have a decent squad

I'd like to see those as the core of what remains, with four or five decent players coming in, meaning we'll have to keep a few more of the current lot as squad players atleast
