By saying "...it's swings and roundabouts" then I am guessing that the player(s) who want to leave are those who he would rather keep, e.g. yer Brezovans.

I have this theory that anyone who doesn't want to stay is not worth worrying about-so,probably,yes.

I'm sorry, but if you want to progress you have to try and keep you best player - within reason. Sometimes an offer is too good to refuse for the club, and possibly for the player too.

If it is the likes of Ifil and Brez then it would be our loss, not theirs.

Using Ifil as an example -  I think Ifil deserves his shot at Championship football. He has earned his keep at town and I'd wish him all the best.

However, if he were to take a sidewise move due to a personality clash with whoever, then I'd be more upset and less understanding.

Oh, and if I had to guess at 3- Brez, Sturrock and Corr.

i think ifil has found his level in league 1.not technically good enough to step up a level imo.
neither is brez on current form, but is the better prospect of the two.but to be honest both are replacable with relative ease

I don't agree arriba.  We have struggled to find a decent centre back and keeper for years.

Kanouka  (however you spell it) looks good, but his injury record is worse than Corrs.

Probably

Brez - can do better
Aljofree - Sturrocks boy
Comminges - no new contract yet!!
Easton - Sturrocks boy
JPM - Sturrocks boy
Corr - Sturrocks boy
Nicholas - not being played at all
Zaaboub - doesnt like anyone

I wouldn't be too fussed if Brez left either. People are still clinging onto the memories of his best form, when in reality he has never got close to coming back to that form.

What if he goes all through next season being average too, when we could pick up some money for him and use it elsewhere?

However, I think it's more important to keep players like Ifil as he has been here longer than most and will give the squad more of a togetherness.

I think Brez has been cack for a while.

Of DV's list I'd only be disappointed if 2 of those left ('minges and Easty).
