Following on from the Cheltenham Festival Thread:

My 4th wedding anniversary is fast approaching, and the misses is not a material girl, rather she prefers a good time and nice suprises.

The Cheltenham festical Thread has lead me to think that taking the misses to a day at the races in Bangkok should be a laugh for both of us. Iv'e never been before and neither has the misses, yet having a laugh will take priority over gambling.

Of course a romantic meal and a good restaurant will follow, either that or getting pissed together and having a laugh (My misses ain't the soppy type). Yet without a doubt the final celebration of the night will be a damned good rodgering.

Any thoughts ladies?

It depends if the rodgering is damned good after several drinks, don't want the night to end on an "anti-climax"  Soapy Tit Wank

On another note, races and dinner sounds nice.

I'd say fuck the plans, if you've got to put the hard yards in just to get your nuts wet on your anniversary then you're being soft.

My misses need not worry about my rodgering skills (Best I leave it there really).

But you think that the races and dinner is a good idea? I do, just looking for the ladies perspective.

I personally would appreciate it as fun day out followed by a nice meal is more enjoyable than a few seconds taken to open an expensive gift.

Just my opinion though!

I doubt it.

There are only 2 legal forms of gambling out here and they are horses (Only one track, in Bangkok) and the National Lottery (That's a whole different story/scam/thread).

Thanks for your opinion Lady, as I said my misses ain't a material girl. She will appreciate the day out so much more than an I'll thought out prezzie (Chocolate/perfume/flowers).

Id agree, a good fun day out, something you dont or cant do all the time. Finished off with something special... all of which will create memories!

Id be happy with that - do you get to dress up? is it like posh races? if so 99% of girls like an excuse to get dressed up

Cheltenham is more your overcoat and cap day out. Plenty of beer not champagne - but one of the greatest atmospheres still left in sport today.
