I would imagine none of our five main forwards would put the shits up the opposition - Cox, Corr, Paynter, Sturrock and Ashikodi.
None are prolific goalscorers, none have the bulk to push around a centre half, and none of them have pace to burn to terrorise a defence or play up front on their own.
None have made it in a higher division though they've all had the chance.

I dont think it has anything to do with lack of effort, they are all honest players, but if we are going to progress we need a real target man, two of the five in my opinion have the chance to go onto to better and we probably haven't seen the best of Cox and Ashikodi as yet, the rest are just Div One/Div Two average run of the mill forwards.

I'd say the partnership of Cox & Corr, Cox has the pace and obviously works well with a target man, Corr has the battling ability and is able to provide knock downs for Cox.

I'd worry about Corr's fitness though, so perhaps it may be better using Paynter  - they teamed up well in Cox's loan spell - until Corr has proved his fitness fully.

Corr      - 8 starts 9 sub - 5 Goals
Paynter - 18 starts 7 sub - 7 Goals

5 of paynters goals came in 2 games 3 months ago, against shite opposition

2 of Corrs were against the same  shite opposition and one was a penalty.....

so what?

using that logic 5 of paynters came in tow games against shit opposition, and two were handed to him on a plate

I just think Paynter is a better all round player than Corr. He doesn't have the aerial threat but he is a better finisher in my opinion. Not much in it but i think Paynter can score more goals.

Oi, bugger off.  I haven't tripped over my own feet for at least two days.

i'm trying to be impartial here, but paynter really wasnt very good again. a decent header for the goal, but a few 1st shocking touches and few headers won

I disagree with CT.  Thought Paynter was quality, worked hard and pressured defenders with some good passing also.

Just my opinion like though  Cheesy
