who would everyone pick as there first choice strike force?

id go for Billy Paynter & Simon Cox

im not much of a Barry Corr, Moses Ashikodi or Blair Sturrock fan

Agree with you there, It looked really promising with them two up front a couple of months ago, the 5-0 Gillingham win showed there is a good chemistry there.

that was what, 3 months ago? Its hte only time those two have played really well together. Corr and cox have looked a much more dangerous partnership, with either moses or paynter coming on in the last 15 to run at a tired defence. easy
Have they played together another time?!

Is Ashikodi match fit yet?  Harsh to judge him if he isn't.  Barry Corr is always worth consideration because he has that knack of being in the right place at the right time - Lincoln last year.  He can also curl them in from 25 yds - just a question of staying fit and not getting sent off.  Cox is the only player up front who consistently looks dangerous and has a pretty reliable first touch.  So it's Cox and Corr for me.

The reason i'd choose Paynter to partner Cox over Corr is simply because i think they can score more goals as a partnership. Yes Cox and Corr had a good spell but that spell wasn't as long as the good spell Paynter and Cox had. Also they are our 2 top goalscorers (i think) so you want to play the strikers who can score the most goals upfront. You only have to think back to Gillingham and Bournemouth to see how good they can be.

That's not a reason to choose Paynter over him when he's fit though  :?

Corr      - 8 starts 9 sub - 5 Goals
Paynter - 18 starts 7 sub - 7 Goals

5 of paynters goals came in 2 games 3 months ago, against shite opposition

I still think Paynter is a good player who will do well. He's just not on form at the moment. At the top of their respective games, i'd pick Billy and Cox.

I'd agree with Corr and Cox. A lot of people have suggested Ashikodi has the potential to be awesome, so maybe he needs a run to get match fit and used to playing with this team?  I did think last week he had a bit of Fola about him, which is never a good sign!

Blair, for all his work rate, simply isn't good enough for this level IMO. Against Northampton he scored a decent goal but his hold up play was abysmal. He just looks out of his depth.
