Thats digusting IMO. If there was nowhere for them to pay then what are they supposed to do? http://www.adver.co.uk/display.var.2024709.0.soccer_fans_cry_foul_over_car_clampers.phpThe family say they are unlikely to go to the County Ground again after the incident.
I know you'll get non car owners/drivers whinging about it being the motorists fault as usual however I think this is so unfair on the families involved.

Happened last Saturday as well. There are notices up, though I don't expect you could see them in the dark!!

Oh I didn't realise that. I know theres lots of on street parking after 6pm near the ground however people who don't live locally wouldnt know where to go and there were no signs for car parks who could realistically accommodate that many people close to the ground. I hate to this see things like this

People get clamped for parking where they shouldn't, I'm ok with that.
But it's when the clampers prey on certain situations, such as football matches when they know people will be away from their cars for 90 minutes, which really pisses me off.

I don't have a huge amount of sympathy for people that live close enough to walk though.....

i don't know how clear it's made that you risk clamping up there but they've been doing it on and off for a couple of years and it's not put people off.

But it's when the clampers prey on certain situations, such as football matches when they know people will be away from their cars for 90 minutes, which really pisses me off. On Saturday i drove past the area in question and saw them clamping a load of cars. It was clear they had just waited for the opportunity. It looked as though they ran out of clamps, which amused me. I agree with you though, if it says don't park, then don't park. I had my car towed and was going to be blown up (apparently) for being a twat and parking my car outside Heathrow. £325 to get it back from what i remember. I didn't mind though, my old chap was driving the car back and i'd just got on a flight.

If there are signs up that say you will be clamped then why did the Adver not pick up on it? Lazy journalism!

Serves them right - it's clearly private land and not a public car park...
It's her own stupidity and attempts to be a freeloader that's got her the fine. It's part of the something-for-nothing attitude that seems to be gripping the country at the moment, fuelled by that cunt Martin Lewis.
If there had been a pay and display machine there, she'd have just gone onto the next abandoned private land to sling the car.
Silly bitch.
