DUO ON THE MOVE

Almeida And Arrieta Agree Town Exit

Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas's squad reshaping continues after the club agreed a deal for the departure of Ibon Arrieta and Mauro Almeida.

The duo arrived in the summer, brought in by BEST Holdings, although neither player has been able to break into the first team.

30-year old Arrieta has made four appearances from the bench in League One and two outings in cup competitions, scoring his only Town goal in the 4-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Brentford - what was his last appearance

Almeida, formerly with Accrington Stanley, played just ninety minutes in a Robins shirt which came in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy encounter with Brentford.

The club have announced that an agreement has been reached for an immediate departure for both Arrieta and Almeida.

Negotiations continue with French midfielder Franklin Anzite, although he could yet remain a Swindon player for the remainder of the campaign.

Arrieta tried but only looked dangerous when his back was to the goal. Almeida played one game, wasn't too bad but couldnt break into Accringtons starting XI...... Anzite it just shite, perhaps the worst player I have ever seen wear a Swindon shirt, yes, even worse than Jamie Slabber and Peter Mikolanda.

No Arrieta was, believe the other 2 only had contracts to the end of the season, well thats the way I read it as on the O.S it says Anshite could still remain until the end of the campaign.

Swindon Town Football Club have confirmed Frenchman Franklin Anzite has left the club.

The Frenchman joined Town in August 2007 but failed to break into the first team.

He impressed in a number of reserve team outings and was included in the first team squad which travelled to Carlisle United in December.

Anzite joins Ibon Arrieta and Mauro Almeida in leaving The County Ground with the trio having all agreed a deal to leave the club.
