was it a sending off, haven't had a chance to see it on tv yet?

My first reaction from where i was sitting was that he has to go. Speaking to me old man who watched it @ home said it was never a sending off?

If you ask me, he hardly touched the guy, and the bloke has made an absolute meal of it. It was a yellow at worst, but to be honest i don't think i'd have even given a free-kick.

There was absolutely no contact, the bloke deserves an oscar the way he was thumping the ground.  Smithy's been hard done by there.  I wouldn't even say there was that much intent, as his studs were showing, and he kept his feet low.

Hopefully Chris Kamara can do his bit on Justice corner this Sunday.  It'll mean he misses one match at least though, unless STFC appeal immediately

It looked horrible at first but he barely caught him and if he did it was with his trailing leg anyway.

Thats what i thought, amazing what a good bit of acting does!

my gut feeling when i saw it was off but obviously not by the sound of it. Hopefully we will get an apeal through before the weekend (unlikely). Fatty suspended for saturday now i believe!

Howard will miss Peterborough away, with any luck he'll get dropped for Saturday anyway but I can't see that happening.

This is what it says on the official site:

Club officials and coaching staff were keen to review the incident on video tape a before making a further decision on whether to appeal against any punishment for the tackle.

After looking through the match highlights, Town have decided not to appeal against the decision of referee Brian Curson, who handed out the red card in the 2-0 away defeat.

It's stupid, no way should it have been a red card, yellow at the worst

If the boot was on the other foot we'd all say red card.

Come on guys, it was late, high and dangerous with intent. It's a red card.
