fucking hell what the crack with 2 footed tackles recently? there was a few over the last few weeks and a couple in the prem today, just watched the championship, league 1 & 2 goals on sky and loads more ridiculous 2 footed tackles. surely its not a natural thing to jump into a 2 footed lunge so they must know exactly what they are doing, why do it? a red card is nearly a cert weather u touch the man or not and u could end up ending a career. Unless your Kevin Muscat, hate that cunt, hes ended a few careers in his time
Muscat up to is old tricks again in OZ

I'd assume, a foul, as last man denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

interesting that a year or so ago the big hoo-haa was all about diving. martin samuels said in his the times column 'diving is an irritant, reckless tackling is a cancer' - never more apt than now where its really getting out of hand
kevin muscat is an absolute animal

I didn't see anything wrong with the challenge myself apart from the fact it was 2 footed. He clearly won the ball but i suppose law states that 2 footed tackles show intention.

Arsenal definitely got the better deal with Gallas for sure.
Carvalho looked like he lost his head with that challenge and IMO ref got it right.
Petr Cechs mistake for Villas goal was amusing though.

Didn't look like either went in to 'do' the opposition to me. Yeah 2 footers are dangerous and stupid in todays climate (straight red), but noone got hurt and it was dealt with accordingly in both cases.

The problem with the two footed challenges will not go away until the bloody managers start to accept it's dangerous. Avram Grant was defending Carvallio by saying he did not intend to get the player therefore he should not have been sent off, so if a player scores an own goal by accident does that mean it does not count? Steve Bruce was interviewed on Radio 5 and asked about it and he would not come out and say it should be stopped, he just bleated on about the visit from the ref in pre season saying rules are rules. Until managers start to come out after games and say "fair cop he was stupid and should not have done it, I've kicked him round the dressing room a few times and he's being fined a few weeks wages and has to clean the grounds mans bog for a week" nothings going to change. Managers just seem to accept it instead of having the balls to crucify their players for it.
