So I'm going for a new position at my place, which will involve me working on a golf mag two weeks a month, then working on my current mag for two weeks in the same role. So the golf thing is a step up, and it'll be more work in the long run, what sort of percentage of your salary should I be asking for?

Guage the % more work you'll be taking on (monthly) x 12 and ask for that % in cash terms on top of your current salary (obviously round it up a few grand for haggling purposes), ask for it to be reviewed after a 3 month period in case you've underestimated the extra workload.

Working with journos, I doubt you will have though!

that's the way things work, more work less money - you have to actually climb the ladder to get a rise here, which this will be.gonna be loadsa work, but hopefully worth it.

Do they know how much you want to do it?

If you're not that bothered about it, and they need you then ask for a fucking stupid figure and see what they say.
