breakfast at tiffany's by 'deep blue dogshit', i think. just can't stand the lyrics, especially the lines 'i recall i read the book and i liked it. blah blah blah well thats one thing we got' followed by 'plinkety plinkety plinky plink' on the guitar. smug, trivial, wank. utter shite.
oh and rotterdam by the beautiful south, for similar reasons - rotterdam is not, in fact 'anywhere', its in the netherlands where i suspect, as europe's largest port, it always has been and always will. actually, add that other one by them where the fat bird is going on about not marrying somebody, can't stand that either - i'm sure they think its very funny and all, but it isn't.
i'll have all these in my bleeding head all day now, cheers for that !

Going back a bit, but B52's - Love Shack or REM - Shiny Happy People are 2 that will get me immediately turning off the TV/radio.

I used to feel the same way, didn't the bird from the B52s feature in Shiney Happy People. Maybe you just hate her. Don't fight the songs, embrace the songs. They are alright really.

Anything by Fall out boy  You are also very right. And anything by Mark Ronson. Are u serious? Ronson does not deserve to be mentioned in a thread like this. Only artist mentioned so far who is genuinely good. You may as well pick the stone roses or something.

Good choice, it is amazing just how many dire songs he's produced over the years. You would not think it was possible for anyone to be so consistently awful.

Difficult one this.
I discounted novelty songs - bye bye Mr Blobby, crazy frog. I discounted 'comedy' songs - bye bye Joe Dolce, Benny Hill I discounted whole genres I don't like - bye bye Slayer, Enya, Puff Daddy I discounted anything not of this generation - bye bye Max Boyce, Des O'Conner I discounted teeny bopper music. bye bye McFly, Blink182 I discounted holiday songs - bye bye Wigfield (de da da da da)
Basically it comes down to this:
My Heart Must Go On - Celine Dion(andonandon). Warbley voiced bitch. Lady in Red - Chris de Burgh.
Celine wins, or is that loses. At least Chris seems to have the ability to control ladies groins with that song. It must be ace to have a brain so organised and a job requiring so little effort that you can dedicate so much thought to something so trivial at 9:15 in the morning. i'd agree with your choices....and would like to add...Your Love is King by Sade, utter fucking crap, that some knobheads thought was classy. Couldn't even be turned into a decent TE chant for our lamented ex Manager :king: Question....name the players who wore the red shirt under King, who are currently in the CCC leading scorers list?

Two excellent choices there. Lady in Red wins it for me though. Chris de Burgh is a cunt and so is anyone who likes that song - FACT! His daughter is extremely fit though. Other than that, I hate anything by any warbley voiced bitches you could care to mention. Celine Dion certainly. Add to that Maria Carey - over rated warbly voiced bitch and Witney Houston - warbley voiced bitch on crack. Oooh, that post makes me look like I'm all full of twisted hate and anger. I'm not really, honest :?
