Anyone seen the news about this.
Apparently Chelsea and Spurs have agreed a 'swap deal', with Spurs wanting SWP and £4 million for Defoe.
What the hell's all that about?!?
1) Defoe's never worth that amount
2) Defoe can't even get in the Spurs team let alone Chelsea
3) Chelsea are just insane if they think Defoe is better than SWP.

couple of years ago I would have disagreed with you but after seeing SWP's current form I agree 100%.
Ive never really rated Defoe however I know there are a few Defoe lovers on here for sure!

why leave a lesser club where you cant get a game to go to one of the top sides where you'll be lucky to get on the bench.
and isn't swp getting games at chelsea?
i reckon its bollocks, as its a poor deal for chelsea and both players imo

defoe needs to go somewhere like portsmouth IMHO, if he was playing a lot of games i think he'd do pretty well over a season. was expecting him to come on against germany last wednesday, especially since crouch is banned for israel anyway, he definitely needs games and he won't get them at chelski

Defoe is a good club player, nothing more. Even thats debatable over the last 2 seasons.Through no fault of his own though.I think he has been very patient but for his own career he needs to move. By the way i dont rate him that much |
