I'd hate working in HMV because the blokes are all metalheads and the girls are all emowankers. I want to open my own record store and only sell music I like and spend all day sat on my arse listening to music, which is pretty much what I do now not true. i just hung around the "urban" section when i worked there, trying to find my ideal customer (the person that comes up to me and says "I'm looking to get into uk hip-hop and you look like the kind of young trend-setter to reccomend me a couple of cd's"). i had 2 perfect customers in my month or so there, plus some safe old boy that was replacing his collection as he'd lent cds to mates and they never gave them back the cunts. oh and the staff there were all pretty cool, and hmv is a far, far better place to work than virgin, especially full time. they actually give a toss about employee development, but it's surprisingly hard to get a full time job at hmv.

I hate HMV, if you go in there and ask for anything non main stream you just get a blank look. Fucking wankers. Bath's pretty good for music shops, although I haven't been there for a while.

I can't wait to meet Dave.I'm gonna ruffle his hair and give him a chinese burn he'll never forget. HMV is shit! I got a job there once, it was soulless, I might as well have been selling shoes.I used to work in an Independant record store in Bolton called Andy's records, it was great.I used to sit around all day listening to quality tunes.
