The new money invested will be in direct proportion to the new faeces in the boardroom. If that's not a deliberate typo then that's fucking brilliant

If any fee is paid someone willbe sold to pay for this. No new money will be invested What, you mean like a proper business? I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It's about time the club was run as a business, not a charity, asking for handouts. If we can sell Brez and use the money to bring in players that are needed, I think it's a good thing. Aahhhhh, sorry but I thought that business did in fact invest money from time to time. Must be just me that thought that then? Not trying to be awkward, just trying to point facts out. The club should be self-financing I agree but at the same time, businesses do invest I'm afraid. And let's not forget that this whole "takeover" debacle has definitely been spun on the basis that our future is financially secure and that there WOULD be money to invest in players. Whether or not Bart is correct or not (1) Business DO invest and (2) we have been told that there IS money available for players. Bart is simply making the point that he thinks that players will need to be sold on before any funds are released. If this is the case, it would go against the grain of what is being spun. . A couple of things. No, you're not trying to be awkward, just pedantic. Or course businesses receive investment, what I was getting at is that successful businesses don't rely on investment to survive. The second point is this: Bart annoys me, so anything he posts I feel compelled to disagree with. I know, it's not big and it's not clever...............

he has an irritating habit of being on the money though. It does seem odd that one day we get told Sturrock can go after everyone he wanted then the next day we have Sturrock in the press suggesting the lack of a contact with the new investment means he doesn't know his budget.

Mooney is just pissing Wycombe off though by saying that. They won't sell for that price.

Mooney also said the price would rise the later in the season it gets.
Thats strange, I would have thought Wycombe would become more and more desperate to get some cashola for him with his contract runnig out in the Summer...?

Surely they don't want him leaving on a Bosman ?
I can't see him coming here.
I see Sturrock is now saying he may have 1, 3 or 5 players in by deadline day now, aint this what he was saying last season and then went and signed Knapka & Co as he was desperate ?
I really do hope we sign some quality as if we don't we may struggle when we get a few injuries later in the season to key players.
I'd like to think as well that if Brez does get sold we will sign a replacement straight away unlike when he got injured.

I see Sturrock is now saying he may have 1, 3 or 5 players in by deadline day now But definately not 2 or 4 When Sturrock signed Grimes, Gnakpa, Partridge, James and Corr in that short space of time may not have generated a huge amount of appearances but it certainly was a good way of making the other players work harder - and thus resulting in us losing only one game in our run-in. I trust Sturrock - they maybe random names - but on the whole he hasn't let us down as of yet.

It was noticeable that Smith got forward more v Luton - because he's got an attacking full back in Minge pushing him - If Gyan really is as good as his int/club past suggests he could be, he'd be worth a pop in my book. Commingues looks like he'd be comfortable in any wide position, so we wouldn't be wasting a player
