Funny how that thread was started after the L&P one.

You can almost guarantee if everyone decides to go to another pub someone will probably threaten that one too.

Remember, that is from thisis.....

What's the L&P thread?
If the guy isn't on a wind up, he probably just bumped into some locals who were pissing themselves with relief that Millwall didn't decide to do a number on them.

To be fair as well when the hell have Cheltenham ever caused any trouble at any football match?

Yeah, what are we looking out for? The Waitrose Bargain hunters or maybe the Marks & Spencers Casuals?

Beers  Yay have just got ticket so let me know where you are going to be.

Great set up here by Ben's mate:

For those that are going by train, the pub right next to the train station in Cheltenham called 'The Midland' is doing a football special.

A mate of mine has just taken it over and is doing discounted beer and putting a load of food for away fans. He's also running mini-bus's to the ground and back.

Fred

It had crossed my mind that the Midland may end up being a bit of target if there was going to be any trouble, becuase it's right next to the train station.

But so would any pub that was full of Swindon fans in Cheltenham!

If no one's comfortable going there, there's plenty of other pubs to choose from between the station and the ground. The police may even be planning some sort of escort to a specific boozer anyway.  I know they have done that in the past with other large away followings.

Like I put in my original post, the details I've been given are a bit sketchy anyway, so I'd call first to check what the pub have got planned before 500 Swindon fans turn up!!  Soapy Tit Wank

Someone on L&P has phoned the pub in question, they've said it's fine for Swindon fans to go there. A police van will be present with a camera, so hopefully no trouble.

9am start in Wetherspoons it is  Cool

Didn't we decide on the Groves rather than the Savoy last night Sam (I know they are both Wetherspoons)?
