if it is the castros and thats a big if, werent they involved in elviria? a portugese team who couldnt pay their players and they went on strike? it was huge news in portugal...... Shocked

I think they were supposed to be putting a rescue package together but I'm not sure if they ever got anywhere.  I think they’ve also got some ties to Casinos and the piece de la resistance of tenuous links is that old Google’s sketchy Portuguese translation service does mention them in the same breath as Guima and Ibon the trialists.

The plot thickens.  I'm amazed in this day and age that they;ve lasted so long without any real hint of who they are actually.  Normally someone squeals.

does anybody know what the views of the Council or the HMRC are regarding STFC asking for an extension of the CVA?

What i want to hear is that either of those two have said fuck off we want our money now.

The longer this carries on the more time Mike D has bleeding our club dry.

Also is there an update anywhere with regard to BP and his support or where he stand with regard to still investing in our club?

As someone wrote elsewhere i think now would be an excellent opportunity to have a nice back page spread stating BP is still here and that everything can be sorted now and not in 9 months time.

Surely as taxpayers we can contact the council and ask them what they are doing about retrieving the money???

The wikipedia site states Domingos Castro's date of birth as Nov 22nd 1963 - which is the same day Kennedy was shot.

This information has absolutely no relevance to the proposed takeover of STFC but, given the current board's self imposed vow of silence, I feel it is my duty as a fan to keep the rumour mill going with Daily Mail-style sensational (and completely irrelevant) statements that will get up Bob Holt's nose and also remind Diamandis that we haven't gone away despite the 'due diligence is going to take 8 weeks, so leave us alone' wheeze.

While that option is not open to those of us who don't live in Swindon, it's an excellent idea for those who do.

I did - got an e-mail back saying it would be forwarded to the finance dept and someone would contact me, but have yet to hear back!

Sent the e-mail about 2 weeks ago (a couple of days after the letter was published asking to push the CVA payment date back!).

Deals are being made and PS is not happy. Players are being forced into the club as part of the deal. The investors have not got major backing.
