I didn't see the point of sponsoring a player which is the primary reason for me not doing so. I wasn't going to piss on people's bonfires by saying that though.

FWIW I do agree, but I think hearts ruling over head is probably the reason. People still want to support the players and the team but probably need stuff like this latest info for the head to take rule over their heart.

I agree with that and I'll be the first to put my hands up and say yup, I fucked up big stylee -  not making any excuses mind.

I for one can no longer be fucked with anything apart from arranging my travel/lifts to away games and worrying where the next corona is coming from.

I think we can all live with the knowledge, that in our hearts; we're all the unofficial sponsors of Gypsy Jesus.

I agree with that, but it's up to the individual.

surely the last 12 months has taught us nothing? there has been an endless mismanagement of funds, is the straw that broke the camels back?

I think this 'mismanagement' though is the most apparent.

Only a few weeks ago that letter to creditors stated the club had c. £250k in the bank.

They've also sold say 2500 season tickets, let's assume half of those paid up front rather than on credit cards, that's 1250 at ~£600 each. That's £750,000.

I'm going to sound like Phil S now, but where the fuck has £1 million gone, as Tommy Cooper would say, "Just like that"?

Sorry, didn't see this thread when asking the question in t'other one. FWIW I
agree with Mex:

OK, like can somebody spell it out for me in words of one syllable.

I don't get why the club calling in all the money they can to pay staff has on influence of whether we should continue to sponsor a player. Surely the decision has nothing to do with this. Morally we are either OK sponsoring a player, or we aren't. End of?

Either way if too many people have pulled out to make it viable then you can chuck my money at Whits too.
