Pugh's a handy winger I think, used to play for United.

I'd rather have players join us because they want to play for our manager than a bunch of players here for the money and nothing else.

Them being good would be a bonus though  Cheesy

In fairness to Sturrock he wasn't sacked because of bad results, he was sacked because the Owls Chairman didn't like the style of play.

He had some key players injured and was still churning out decent results.

The Wednesday fans showed faith with Sturrock which, imo, is a positive thing.

They were 21st in the league when he was sacked so results must have played a part.As for what Wednesday fans think....couldnt give a fuck.

Fair enough.

I'm just looking at the facts.

Players who have played for him in the past want to play for him again.

Fans of Clubs he's managed before (With the exception of Southampton) Idolise him.

He's had 4 promotions in 6 seasons.

Looking at all that, I think he must be doing something right! Cheesy

He was sacked after a being given a new contract, and having about nine first teamers injured.  It was utter stupidity on behalf of the Sheff. Wed. chairman.  They were getting players back, and doing better when he was sacked.

Their ground being flooded just shows the power of the will of Luggy.
