I think that's a little bit anglo-cised (sp) that story, don't think it was down to the beckham saga at all.

Madrid often sack managers after winning titles - which is a little weird.

madrid just sack managers. lots of them. very often!

the beckham saga didn't help but he was truly awful for the first half of the season and wasn't far from leaving around christmas i believe.

he's far too negative for their fans too
