Or Sturrock knows of better strikers who will be available on a free next summer...

does he have a crystal ball? i'm starting to like him more.

No, well that is to say I don't think so, but he's gone out and issued 2 and 3 year contracts elsewhere, just makes me wonder if he has some prior knowledge from elsewhere regarding strikers contracts.

Good signing alot of pace and power we have a good blend of strikers with Corr, him and Sturrock all having very different qualities.  Add a prolific striker as well and we will be in good shape for next year.

I'm not convinced he's good enough to score the goals we need to be honest. Of course, I will give him a chance to prove me wrong.

Would be nice to see a goalscorer come in aswell though

Just the easy role to fill then  Wink

Sounds like the big man will be awkward and adds something to or attack.  My Dad really liked hime for Torquay a few years back, and I usually trust his judgement so I'm modestly happy with him.  If Sturrock thinks he's good enough then thats good for me - and not a ex-Sturrock player for a change.

Tall bloke in Corr, Battering ram in Akinfenwa - sturrock likes to get balls into the box so could prove a good partnership, and then as everyone has mentioned, jst the proven scorer to come, job done - promotion thankyou very much, see you in the Championship. Soapy Tit Wank

Will not be fit for start of the season:

So 2 strikers signed up, both not fit to start.

Well no, but Sturrock Jnr is bound to sign, we have Roberts and Peacock who can both fill in, we still have Caton and I presume Sturrock is still looking for a goalscorer.

not time to press the panic button yet KT  Cheesy

Panic button?  I've no doubt Sturrock will find a fit and able striker for the start of the season.

I'm more worried that I won't get to see much of them if they're all out at the start and I bugger back off to France before we get going. :|

Who's that running through your defence, it's Akinfenwa, Akinfen-wa!

No prizes for guessing the tune to that one.

Chasing Cars converted cleverly to chasing shadows for when we fancy a bit of Pook bashing? Someone else can do the lyrics for that one, can't be arsed.
