He's signed for Wycombe. It's lazy journalism. Sturrock ex-Dundee United and Lambert is a Scot who has not long left Scotland. That's all to it I expect. |

Coughlan played a handful of matches around '96 - seem to think it was the era of McMhon and the round necked Castol GTX kit - on loan from Blackburn IIRC.

Yeah, he definately played on loan for us. Looked like a good player too. I thought he was a complete non-entity to rank along side the likes of Graham Anthony and Stuart Elliott (remember them?). HOWEVER, he would be an excellent signing for us right now. If you'd asked me before the speculation started, I would have said no way would he drop to division 3. But he's been 'linked' with Wycombe and you have the Sturrock connection so why not? |

That's how I remember that loan spell too. But as you also indicate, it's largely irrelevant as he'd be a great transfer now. |

He's got a year to go apparently but Laws is obviously having a bit of a clear up and wants his own players in there. I think this one will happen.
