i'm ace at cricket is it foolish to spend £100+ on a bat n stuff or just stick with my newly bought g&m relatively crappy effort from jjb

Kjb bats suck balls. Get yourself a decent bat like a Newbery or something, and watch the runs rack up.

Dont buy your own bat just yet mate!!! ha ha. They are a big investment and you are still learning.

And definately dont buy one from JJB. I'll help you get one if you want a decent one though.

I have a powerbow. Its the perfect bat for me.

Gray Nicholls is definately my favourite bat manufacturer.

When you realise you can play a bit, then a trip to Duncan Fearnley's workshop in Worcester for a hand crafted bespoke bat is the order of the day.

    Not sure he's still there mind, he was three years ago, but the mass produced Indian market is bad for business.

too late. on saturday i had bought the £30 g&m that i weilded so spectularly in practice...but then not so spectacularly in our innings...but i keep my elbow high and that's the main thing  Wink
