Agreed.

All clubs have glory hunters, Yeovil are taking over 30,000 to Wembley when their average home attendance last season was just over 5000!

The top teams obviously have more people jumping on the bandwagon, as they're more successful.

But the Liverpool fans who actually go and support their team should be congratulated for the noise and atmosphere the generate.

And they've only got lots of fans because they were glory boys when they were kids. There'll be an awful lot of Chelsea fans around in 20-30 years time

Most kids are glory boys.

I had to take a firm hand with mine when he started showing a penchant for Man Utd.

To be fair though, he was about 7!

possible but if the success wains they may move on to another team.
For example there is a little kid in my street, in 2001 when Liverpool won the treble he wears a liverpool shirt, when Manchester United won the league a few years after he had a manure shirt on,
now surprise surprise he has a Chelsea shirt - talk about shirt for all occasions.

when i was a kid during the early to mid 80s i supported liverpool.i then went to watch swindon and that was that.alot of my mates from then are still liverpool fans, who started supporting them for the same reason as me(they were the best team then)
so the chelsea theory is a good one i think

I have also been told by a Liverpool 'fan' that I shouldn't wear my FC Bayern shirt as I don;t have the right to as I have only been to watch them once.
He has no links whatsoever to Liverpool whereas my majority of my family come from Bavaria very close to Bayerns former ground, I think I have every right to follow Bayern,as I consider it my local team

Can't wait for the game, hope the English team win (fuck off with all the full of foreign players bollocks). I expect it will be tough and, despite not giving very much of a fuck about any team in the premiership, when any English team wins in the champions league it feels like England losing. I hope i'm not miserable later.

Come on the 'puel.  Beers

the way i remember it was that during the 80's liverpool were hated by the neutral in the same way that man united were hated during the 90's, and chelsea are hated now!
